The PIKO model of the German State Railroad´s class 132 in purple has all the typical features of Era IV. The grab irons are free-standing. The model features, among other things, the finest paint and printing, free-standing grab irons, a zinc die-cast frame, and a powerful five-pole motor that guarantees balanced running characteristics with two balanced flywheel masses. The model has two traction tires that sit in a diagonal arrangement on the inner axles of the two bogies. The lighting is provided by LEDs. The cab lighting and the tail light can be switched separately. The factory-installed PIKO sound decoder handles the data formats DCC with RailComPlus®, Motorola®,Selectrix®, and M4. The decoder is tuned to the 132 series and has up to 29 switchable functions. Many typical locomotive sounds such as engine noise, signal horns, brake squeal and others can be called up individually. Sound is also possible in analog operation - here only engine noise.
